Aims of the Tennis Section

The section aims to provide all its members with opportunities to play tennis at their own level irrespective of whether they are accomplished players, who wish to play competitively with others of their own level, or whether they are beginners taking up tennis for the first time.

We promise to :

  • make coaching available to everyone who wishes to improve their skills
  • provide opportunities for social play at all levels
  • encourage young players to learn to play and enjoy tennis for the future
  • and provide opportunities for players who wish to take part in competitive league tennis
The tennis section committee, elected each year, by the members, promises to make Kings Heath a warm, welcoming and friendly club.

Facilities

We have 3 astroturf artificial grass courts and 3 red shale courts. Two of the astro courts are floodlit to allow all year round play. The astro courts are expected to be renewed before the main season starts in 2002.

Members can make use of the main club facilities : showers/changing rooms, bar, meals, Satellite TV etc. They may join other sports sections and participate in the club and section social events.

Balls are provided free-of-charge for matches, social play, group coaching and tournaments.

Membership
